I agree wholeheartedly with the need to proceed carefully, thoughtfully and prayerfully. Proceed we must. We didn't need this pandemic to show that we have already lost a generation from the church. Young people who live good, generous lives but are disconnected from parish.

I have participated in three Zoom session in my Montmorency/Eltham parish and feel that there are numerus flaws in the current "mission" proposal and the haste with which the Archdiocese appears to be moving the change. Due to COVID meeting constraints, few parishioners are aware of the mammoth Archdiocesan restructure.

I would like to see the outcome of the Plenary Council. Once this is over then I would like more time and consultation to see some examples being tested and assess the experience derived before implementing it to the whole of Victoria.

I agree with the comments above and think that waiting until after the Plenary Council concludes is the best way to be abled to plan a way forward. Having the ability to choose Mass times and number of Masses is a very important factor, very concerning that some parishes may not have Masses at all under the Mission plan.
